					Colombia: Gobierno / Government Gobierno El Estado colombiano es un sistema democrático que se estructura en tres ramas del poder público: la Legislativa, la Ejecutiva y la Judicial. El Congreso de la República está integrado por el Senado y la Cámara de Representantes. El Gobierno Nacional está encabezado por el Presidente de la República, quien es el jefe de Estado, jefe de Gobierno y suprema autoridad administrativa. Para cada cuatrienio se lleva a cabo la elección de presidente, senadores y representantes a la Cámara. La reelección presidencial inmediata es posible para un segundo mandato, como es el caso del actual Presidente de la República, Álvaro Uribe Vélez. La Corte Constitucional, la Corte Suprema de Justicia, el Consejo de Estado, el Consejo Superior de la Judicatura, la Fiscalía General de la Nación, los Tribunales y los Jueces, conforman la rama judicial. Government The Colombian state is a democratic system structured on three branches of public power: the legislative, executive and judicial. The Congress of the Republic is composed of the Senate and the House of Representatives. The National Government is presided over by the President of the Republic, who is the head of state, head of government and supreme administrative authority. Every four years there are elections for president, senators and representatives of the House. Sequential presidential reelection is admitted, as is the case of the current President of the Republic, Alvaro Uribe Velez. The Judicial branch is made up of the Constitutional Court, the Supreme Court of Justice, the State Council, the Superior Council of the Judicature, the Attorney General of the Nation, the Courts and judges.
